Volume 1 - Selection Strategies & Side-by-Side Comparisons

Volume 1 provides practical, usable, and informative data to greatly assist in 3PL WMS software selection. Three areas presented - side-by-side 3PL WMS software product comparison, selection strategy, and insightful tips.

40 WMS solutions are covered, which had to meet our minimum inclusion requirements of 1) existing client base that included multi-owner 3PLs, 2) 3PL billing functionality in the WMS, and 3) RF functionality fully support in the WMS.

First - 40 WMS solutions are compared side-by-side in multiple tables. These comparison tables are databases supported, operating systems supported, critical key field size comparisons, best fit customer sizing, largest 3PL customer base (3 tables here - by 3PL customers, by 3PL installations, & by total installations), customers by continents analysis, and advanced functionality needed by 3PLs. The advanced functionality looks at which solutions have 3PL profit & loss calculations, work order / manufacturing logic, and engineered labor standard functionality. ASP hosting solutions are listed.

These tables greatly assist the selection team to determine which WMS products to include your short list of WMS candidates. This is done prior to demonstrations and prior to vendor visits - thus saving significant time & expense.
